Ingredients
White miso paste- this will give your sauce a rich, umami flavor
Tahini- should be runny and of good quality (I like Trader Joe’s or Soom Foods)
Nutritional yeast- there really is no substitute because this will give your sauce a subtle cheese flavor
Dijon mustard- regular mustard will do if you’re in a pinch
Everything but the bagel seasoning- it’s a mix of sesame seeds (1.5 Tbsp), black sesame seeds (1.5 tsp), onion flakes (1 tsp), poppy seeds (1 tsp), garlic flakes (1/2 tsp), and salt (1/2 tsp).

Sauce
There’s nothing fancy about this dressing. Ok, it’s delicious! But since when does tasty food have to be complicated? Right! It doesn’t! And this simple 5-ingredient tahini sauce is proof of that. So grab your food processor and carve out 5 minutes to make this sauce.
In the bowl of a food processor, add the miso paste, runny tahini, nutritional yeast, dijon mustard, and everything but the bagel seasoning.
Put the lid on, turn the food processor on, and drizzle in the water starting with ¼ cup and working up to ½ a cup for desired consistancy. Keep the sauce on the thicker side if you’re going to be using it as a pasta sauce or a marinade for tofu or tempeh. Thin it out a bit with extra water for drizzling over roasted vegetables, tofu scrambles, vegan omelettes, or a loaded salad.
No matter how you use this sauce, it’s so simple and I always have the 5 ingredients lurking in my pantry. If you feel like fancy-ing it up a bit, add fresh herbs, sautéed shallots, roasted garlic…No matter what you do (or don’t do) to it, I know this 5-ingredient tahini sauce is going to take any meal to the next level. Enjoy friends!
